Enjoys: Being fit, Charlton Hill, riding with the SDV group, playing jazz.

I became hooked on cycling after doing Lands End to John O’Groats in 2004 on a tandem with my 15 year old son.

Enjoys:

50-75 mile road rides, the Steep climb out of Petersfield, doing 30mph on the short section of the A31 between Ropley and the New Alresford Turn, big ringing up the Muur van West Chiltington.

Possibly being related to one of the first Britons to ride the Tour de France. Mountain biking the South Downs especially the Cissbury, Chanctonbury Rings loop. The fact that the protagonist in HG Wells' 'The Wheels of Chance' rides along the very same roads which we do but some 110 years ago. The Little Holland pancake restaurant, Italy, Weißbier, Heimat and Tony Hancock.
