Interested in joining a cycling club?

If you are interested in joining a cycling club in the Chichester or Portsmouth areas then there are a number to choose from. There are cycling clubs to cater for all interests, from road racing, to time trialling, mountain biking and touring. You can even socialise.

Interested in joining Southdown Velo?

Members range in age from six to over sixty

Southdown Velo welcomes racing and non-racing members and supporters of all ages and abilities.

Our youngest member is six and our oldest stopped counting at sixty.

We have riders who regularly win races, some who are just happy to finish and some who never race. The important thing is that they all enjoy themselves.

Southdown Velo riders take part in road races, cyclo-cross, time trials, mountain bike races and sportives such as L'etape du Tour.

Members compete in a variety of disciplines as well as riding for pleasure

We race regularly at Dunsfold Park on the Surrey/West Sussex border. Races are held every Tuesday evening from May through to August.

For the youths there is Angmering Raceway on a Monday night.

We also race in Surrey League races, which are typically held on the Surrey/Sussex border areas.

Over the years we have raced in Ireland, France, Belgium, Holland and even Cyprus. During 2009 we will ride the world cyclo-cross masters championships at Mol in Belgium.
